Yay another Fire Emblem character. Saw that one coming...

And Bayonetta. I would say I didn't see her coming if so many people weren't begging for her. I would also be semi-okay with her getting in if she didn't look like the most annoying character yet. Maybe it's just how they played her for the direct, but I do not look forward to fighting her at all.

No Rundas.

No Isaac.

No Shovel Knight.

The only DLC character I actually cared about at all was Lucas.

On the bright side, I still have until the end of January (And hopefully early February) until I have to fight... her... online, so better make Online Smash last.

Sorry if I sound salty but... ugh...

Finally! Let's hope he has a diary or stories to share.

Now we wait for Tas.

After the N64 era (Console-wise) it seems pretty much pointless to remake games, honestly.

Yeah, Twilight Princess didn't need a remake. As I said many times before, when will they remake one of the first 2 Zeldas?

I don't think any (main) Zelda game has disappointed me yet. The streak may be broken someday, but it won't be stopping at Zelda U I'm sure. Unless they do what Sticker Star did and show us Beta Screenshots of a great-looking game and then scrap that and remove the story.

LUCAS AMIIBO YES IT WILL BE MINE. I was expecting him to be released mid-2016, I can't wait! Shame that it doesn't come out before Christmas, but I'm very hyped.
I haven't played any Star Fox games before, but Star Fox Zero looks really good. I might actually get it.
Even though we already knew it was coming thanks to those hackers who apparently hate surprises, but let me be honest - of the game generations before Wii, Twilight Princess needed a remake the least. When the heck will they remake one of the first 2 Zeldas?! I've been DYING to play a Zelda II that's possible to finish!
Not too sure what to think of the new Smash DLC? I haven't played Final Fantasy, but do we seriously need more bland anime swordsmen? Stage looks pretty good though.
Also, I love all of those angry EB fans raging over Mother 3 on VC for Japan only. (HEAVY SARCASM) Hey... weren't these the same guys who were saying things along the line of, "Please Nintendo, just put Mother 3 on the Virtual Console - even if it's Japan-only!"

Overall I enjoyed it, and so did many others it seems. Not to long ago a bunch of pessimistic Nintendo "fans" were saying that they "lost faith in Nintendo" because of one E3. All I can say is - tides turn.

My body is ready. Hopefully the Smash DLC will be announced, weren't we supposed to get that a month ago?

I miss Iwata. :'(

Non-Gaming Entertainment / Re: Things you have nostalgia for.

Let's see...
  • Spongebob. (Mostly the older shows and old PC games.)
  • Wind Waker.
  • First two Paper Marios. (But more for the original, starting to get some nostalgia for Super Paper Mario.)
  • LEGOs. (Mainly Star Wars.)
  • EarthBound.
  • The first 3 Harry Potter movies.
  • Blue's Clues.
  • Super Mario Sunshine.
  • Ocarina of Time. (Even though I call it overrated.)
  • Metroid Prime.
I have more than that, of course. Nostalgia is a big thing for me. I noticed that nostalgic attachment increases not only if it's older, but if it's done in seldom.

I decided to take a break from Undertale, so I was playing Metroid Fusion recently.

I almost forgot how much I love that game.

And how much I hate Yakuza.

Today I saw the weirdest and coolest thing in my entire life. About several minutes ago from when I posted this.

It's difficult to describe, but I just happened to be outside (which I rarely am) when I saw what looked like a fireball across the sky. It looked like an orange star emitting some strange particles. It was flying upright, when it began to slow down. Then it gets weird. No idea what happened, but it looked like an explosion or something. It just slowly disappeared and released a huge white circle. It looked like something straight out of a Sci-Fi movie.

NO idea what that thing was. My guesses -
  • Meteor or a fireball?
  • Rocket ship?
  • A UFO? (Although technically I guess it is, since it's unidentified and flying and an object.)
  • The essence of Waluigi Time entering it's final form and usurping Nintendo of America?
Except for the last one, the weird white circle at the end rules most options out. Anybody know what the heck I just saw?

EDIT: Found out it was some sort of Navy rocket ship or something. Doesn't mean it's not the weirdest thing I've seen in my life though.

Although... those pictures and videos I saw of it don't look anything like what I saw.

Let's not forget Super Metroid and Super Mario RPG! SNES did have a lot of great games, just not as much as GameCube for me. 16-bit graphics are possibly my favorite as well.

I don't find EarthBound as underrated as some people do, but anybody to call it overrated will be carried over to the guillotine. ...or were you just saying that to make me angry?

I liked Super Paper Mario. Not as godly as the other Mario RPGs, but I still found it quite enjoyable. It kept the same trend of memorable characters and environments the other Mario RPGs pertained. Not to mention playing as Bowser was both awesome and hilarious!
I'm starting to get tired of all the needless defense though. I haven't even seen anybody who actually hates Super Paper Mario. And apparently nobody notices that Sticker Star gets too much hate???

Also Paper Mario 64 doesn't get much attention. Could just be my nostalgia.

Aside from the Paper Mario games, I find EarthBound Beginnings, Metroid II, Mother 3 because not enough people say it's the best game ever, and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes underrated.

I didn't catch all of the dialogue but I happened to have it in gif form.

I got caught off guard when I started the gif. :P

Zelda / Zelda Wii U
« on: November 07, 2015, 12:29:31 am »
Okay, so Zelda U isn't coming out for a while and we still don't even know the title. Even with no recent news, I'm extremely hyped for this game. There's no doubt it'll be at the least pretty good. Does this look amazing or what?

I can't believe that's just a screenshot. Not to mention the map might be even bigger than Wind Waker's, considering how long they said their dungeons will be.

Thoughts, predictions?
